4 Funko Pop! Mystery collections to open this Halloween

4 Funko Pop! Mystery collections to open this Halloween

Halloween is getting closer, and Funko’s new Pop! Mystery collections give us something a little different to open this October.

Right now, there are four collections on Funko’s official Pop! Mystery page: Warner Bros. Horror, One Piece, Flora, and KPop Demon Hunters. Every figure comes hidden inside blind-box packaging, so you know the collection but not the character waiting inside.

I definitely do not like all four equally.

Warner Bros. Horror is an easy number one for Halloween. One Piece comes surprisingly close behind, and yes, the bright yellow packaging has a lot to do with that. Flora immediately made me think of a work desk, while KPop Demon Hunters feels much more specific to its fandom.

If you are also keeping up with everything else Funko has been dropping lately, our Funko Pop August 2026 new releases guide covers the other releases worth knowing about this month.

So here is my ranking.

My Funko Pop! Mystery ranking for Halloween

1. Warner Bros. Horror is easily the best Halloween box

Warner Bros. Horror

This is exactly what I want from a Halloween mystery box.

The regular lineup has Pennywise, Regan, Annabelle, La Llorona, The Nun, plus a second Pennywise in the six-figure assortment. Funko also gave the characters special colorway treatments for the Warner Bros. Horror Pop! Mystery collection instead of simply hiding standard Pops inside boxes.

There is really no competition for first place.

Annabelle is the pull for me. Pennywise comes right after her, and The Nun would look great mixed into an October display too.

More importantly, almost the entire lineup works together. That matters with a blind box. I do not want to spend $15 knowing there is only one character inside that I actually want.

Warner Bros. Horror does not have that problem.

And unlike the other three collections, there is no need to come up with a reason why it belongs in a Halloween article. It already does.

If you are buying just one Pop! Mystery box for Halloween, start here.

2. One Piece almost got me with the yellow box alone

I know. The characters should be the first thing I talk about.

But I love that yellow packaging.

It is bright, loud, and completely different from the black, purple, and orange stuff that starts showing up everywhere around Halloween. The box alone made me stop scrolling.

Then I saw the lineup.

You can pull Monkey D. Luffy, Brook, glow-in-the-dark Brook, Perona, Ryuma, or Gecko Moria. The One Piece Pop! Mystery collection is currently on preorder with an estimated ship date of September 19, 2026.

This is such a good group for October.

Brook, Perona, Ryuma, and Gecko Moria give it a much stranger and spookier feel than a standard One Piece assortment. And glow-in-the-dark Brook is easily my most wanted pull from all four collections.

A glowing skeleton in October?

Sold.

One Piece also has something Warner Bros. Horror does not. When Halloween is over, nothing about this set suddenly feels seasonal. Brook goes straight back onto an anime shelf and still makes perfect sense in November.

That yellow box is staying too.

3. Flora belongs on a desk

Flora has nothing to do with Halloween.

I do not care.

The six regular pulls are Bamboo, Monstera, Snake Plant, Tiger Lily, Ivy, and Tulip in the Flora Pop! Mystery collection.

The first thing that came to mind when I saw them was not a display cabinet.

It was my desk.

These little plant Pops would look really good next to a monitor, keyboard, notebook, coffee mug, or an actual houseplant. They are fun without turning the whole workspace into a giant collectible display.

Snake Plant and Monstera are my favorites.

But the bigger advantage is that I do not see a terrible pull here. Blind boxes get much easier to buy when you like almost everything inside.

Flora also does not ask you to know anything beforehand. No movie. No anime arc. No favorite character.

It is a tiny plant with a Funko face.

That is enough.

For someone looking for a small collectible to keep on a work desk or home office setup, Flora might actually be the most practical collection here.

Halloween connection? Basically zero.

Desk appeal? Very high.

4. KPop Demon Hunters is more about the fandom

The KPop Demon Hunters Pop! Mystery collection comes with Jinu, Abby, Baby, Mystery, Romance, and Crying Demon. Funko currently lists it for preorder with an estimated September 19, 2026 ship date.

It still takes fourth place for me, but I am not skipping it completely.

The full six-pack is more commitment than I want here.

One to three boxes? That sounds fun.

There is enough mystery to make the opening interesting without suddenly turning it into a mission to complete the entire set.

And there are two characters I want.

Jinu or Crying Demon.

Jinu feels like the obvious good pull, while Crying Demon gets bonus points for Halloween. Give me either one in the first couple of boxes and I am done.

That is also why this collection feels different from Flora. Flora works even if you know nothing about it. KPop Demon Hunters gets much better the more attached you already are to these characters.

Fans of the movie may easily put this at number one.

For me, it stays fourth, and one to three boxes is exactly where I would stop.

There is a 1-in-72 Mystery Chase

All four collections list a 1-in-72 chance of finding the Mystery Chase. Funko also has a separate Global One-of-One Chase buyback program for participating Pop! Mystery releases. A verified eligible one-of-one can be voluntarily sold back to Funko for $10,000.

Cool if one shows up.

I am not buying 72 boxes to find out.

The regular lineup matters much more. Pick a collection where opening a normal figure still feels good, then let the chase be the ridiculous surprise it is supposed to be.

One box or the six-pack?

A single Pop! Mystery box currently costs $14.99, while the six-box pack costs $89.99 on Funko’s U.S. store.

If you want to compare Funko with other stores before buying, our guide to where you can buy Funko Pops covers the major U.S. retailers collectors should know.

Six individual boxes at $14.99 come to $89.94, so the six-pack is not giving you any meaningful discount.

There is another catch that matters much more.

The six-pack does not guarantee six different figures.

Funko describes it as an assortment of six Pop! Mystery figures and explicitly warns that item selection is random and duplicates are possible.

That kills most of the six-pack appeal for me.

For Halloween, I would rather mix collections. One Warner Bros. Horror plus one One Piece sounds much more fun than spending almost $90 hoping a six-pack does not hand me duplicates.

KPop Demon Hunters is another good example. One to three boxes makes sense if you just want Jinu, Crying Demon, or the fun of opening them. There is no need to turn every blind-box purchase into a complete-set project.

The six-pack is really for collectors who love most of the lineup and are comfortable with the chance of repeats.
