Some links on Collect Chill are affiliate links. If you click an affiliate link and make an eligible purchase, Collect Chill may earn a commission from the retailer.
This does not normally change the price you pay.
Affiliate revenue helps support the cost of researching, publishing, and maintaining Collect Chill.
What is an affiliate link?
An affiliate link contains tracking information that lets a retailer or affiliate network know that a visitor arrived from Collect Chill.
If you click one of these links and complete an eligible purchase or other qualifying action, we may receive a commission.
The retailer or affiliate network determines whether a purchase qualifies and how commissions are calculated.
How affiliate relationships affect our content
Affiliate relationships do not determine our independent editorial conclusions.
We may link to a product or retailer when we believe it is relevant and potentially useful to readers. Depending on the article, we may consider factors such as product features, pricing, availability, retailer reputation, collector feedback, and our own experience when applicable.
The availability or size of a commission does not guarantee:
- A positive review
- Inclusion in a buying guide
- A higher ranking
- A favorable comparison
- Editorial coverage
We may recommend products that do not have an affiliate program. We may also criticize, rank lower, or choose not to cover a product even when an affiliate commission is available.
For more information about how we make editorial decisions, read our Editorial Policy.
Where you may see affiliate links
Affiliate links may appear throughout Collect Chill, including in:
- Product reviews
- Buying guides
- “Where to Buy” sections
- Retailer comparisons
- Gift guides
- Price comparisons
- Deal and release roundups
- Newsletter content
When affiliate links are included, we aim to provide a disclosure in a clear and reasonably noticeable location near the relevant content rather than relying only on this page.
Product samples
Brands, manufacturers, or retailers may occasionally provide products to Collect Chill at no cost.
Receiving a product does not guarantee a review, positive recommendation, inclusion in a buying guide, or any other editorial coverage.
When a free product or another material relationship is relevant to the content, we disclose it.
Sponsored content
Sponsored content is different from independent editorial coverage.
If a company pays Collect Chill to publish sponsored content, the commercial relationship is clearly disclosed and the content is identified as sponsored.
Payment for sponsored content does not give a company control over unrelated independent reviews, buying guides, comparisons, or other editorial conclusions published on Collect Chill.
Why we use affiliate links
Collect Chill is free for readers to access, but running the site has costs.
These can include hosting, domain registration, research, products, software, site maintenance, and the work involved in creating and updating articles.
Affiliate commissions are one way the site may earn revenue to help cover those costs.
You are never required to use an affiliate link. If you prefer, you can visit a retailer directly instead.
Affiliate partners
The retailers and affiliate programs we work with may change over time.
The presence of a retailer or product on Collect Chill does not necessarily mean we have a direct or permanent partnership with that company.
Likewise, the absence of an affiliate relationship does not prevent us from mentioning or recommending a product or retailer.
Amazon Associates disclosure
Collect Chill may participate in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program that allows websites to earn advertising fees by linking to Amazon and affiliated sites.
As an Amazon Associate, Collect Chill earns from qualifying purchases.
This section applies when Collect Chill participates in the Amazon Associates Program and uses qualifying Amazon affiliate links.
Other commercial relationships
Collect Chill may also earn revenue through display advertising, sponsored content, newsletter placements, and other disclosed commercial partnerships.
Commercial relationships do not give advertisers or partners control over our independent editorial conclusions.
We do not publish paid content without identifying its commercial nature.
For more information, see our Editorial Policy and Advertise With Us page.
Privacy and affiliate tracking
Affiliate links may use cookies or other tracking technologies operated by the retailer or affiliate network to attribute eligible purchases or actions.
Those third parties may process information according to their own privacy policies.
For information about how Collect Chill handles information on this website, please read our Privacy Policy.
