If you collect Hulk Funko Pops, Super Hulk #1588 from Spider-Man: Brand New Day is absolutely worth a look. The 5.9-inch size fits Hulk better than a standard Pop, the ripped-shirt design is specific to Brand New Day, and at its current $24.99 retail price, I think it is one of the easiest figures from the wave to recommend.
I would not buy it because I expect it to become rare. I would buy it because it is a Hulk Pop that actually adds something different to a Marvel shelf.
Super Hulk #1588 is properly bigger than a regular Pop
This is the main reason I like it.

Funko classifies #1588 as a Pop! Super and lists the figure at approximately 5.9 inches tall on the official Super Hulk #1588 page.
That size difference matters if you display your Pops out of box.
Hulk should look bigger next to Spider-Man and the other standard figures. I would much rather have a properly oversized Hulk than another version squeezed into the same scale as everyone else.
It also gives the Brand New Day shelf more variety. Instead of adding another standard Spider-Man box, you get a different character at a noticeably different size.
The Brand New Day look gives Hulk collectors a reason to own this version
Super Hulk #1588 comes in the ripped shirt and shorts used for his Spider-Man: Brand New Day look.
That matters if you already own other Hulk Pops.
I would not recommend buying every Hulk release just because the outfit changes a little. A new version should give you a real reason to make room for it.
Here, the combination of the Brand New Day design and the Super size is enough for me.
It feels different from a standard Hulk release without relying on a chase sticker, metallic finish, or another small variant change.
I would buy Hulk before most Spider-Man variants in this wave
If I were picking from the new Brand New Day lineup with my own money, the regular Spider-Man #1586 would still come first because his new suit represents the movie most directly.
Super Hulk would be right behind him.
I would buy Hulk before Metallic Spider-Man and before the 10-inch Jumbo Spider-Man. Those are still alternate Spider-Man releases. Hulk gives me another character and another scale on the shelf.
Scorpion would probably come next.
My first three would be:
- Spider-Man #1586
- Super Hulk #1588
- Scorpion #1628
That already gives you a much more interesting Brand New Day display than buying several versions of Peter first.
You can compare the rest of the wave in our Spider-Man: Brand New Day Funko Pop checklist.
Should you buy Super Hulk #1588 now?
As of August 17, 2026, Funko U.S. lists Super Hulk #1588 for $24.99 and currently shows it available to add to cart.
At $24.99, I would just grab it at retail if I already wanted it.
That does not mean I think the Pop is going to shoot up in value. I just do not see much reason for a Hulk collector to wait for the secondary market while the figure is still easy to buy at normal retail pricing.
If Funko is not the best place for you to order, our guide to where you can buy Funko Pops covers other places collectors usually check.
I would only skip it if you are not sold on the design or your Hulk shelf is already crowded enough that another version does not add much.
Is Super Hulk #1588 a must-have for Hulk fans?
For a general Marvel collector, I would call it a good pickup.
For someone who specifically collects Hulk, I would put it much closer to must-have territory.
It is bigger than a standard Pop, the scale makes sense for Hulk, and the design gives you a version tied directly to Spider-Man: Brand New Day. Most importantly, it is still a normal retail release instead of something you have to chase through resellers.
If Hulk already has his own section on your shelf, Super Hulk #1588 is one I would add.
